Pupil dilation is when the pupil located in the middle part of our eye is larger than normal. Under normal conditions , the size of our pupil grows in low light and shrinks in bright light, depending on the amount of light coming into our eyes.
The reason for this is to ensure that the appropriate amount of light enters our eyes. Accordingly, in bright light our eyes are between 2.0 and 4.0 mm, and in the dark they are between 4.0 and 8.0 mm. In some cases, it is detected in different situations that cause the pupil to dilate . Sometimes a fixed dilated pupil occurs, and in this case the eye begins to not react to light at all.
