Assoc. Dr. Halil Hüseyin Çağatay was born in Tarsus district of Mersin. He completed his primary, secondary and high school education in Mersin. He completed his medical education at Istanbul Faculty of Medicine between 1999-2005 . He completed his specialty training at Şişli Etfal Training and Research Hospital between 2005-2009 .
Assoc. Dr. Halil Hüseyin Çağatay continues his active working life by following current developments. He continues to work on eye health, especially in babies and children, strabismus in adults and children, eye aesthetics and eyelid diseases. Apart from these studies, he routinely performs cataract and laser treatments.

He continues to work on subjects such as baby eye examination, child eye health, strabismus surgeries in adults, and strabismus surgery for amblyopia .
Some of his studies have entered the medical literature in recent years as printed articles and oral presentations, video presentations and poster presentations at congresses .
He worked at Mersin Mut State Hospital between 2010-2012 and at Kafkas University between 2012-2016. In 2015, he was an observer at Dokuz Eylül University – Pediatric ophthalmology department . During this period, he carried out studies on Congenital Strabismus and Fundus Imaging in Children . He worked at Izmir Alfa Eye Center and Private Karşıyaka Eye Hospital between 2016 and 2018. He has been working in his own clinic since 2018.
Assoc. Dr. Halil Hüseyin Çağatay – Holds the European Eye Specialists Qualification Diploma. In 2016, he successfully received the title of ” Fellowship European Board Ophthalmologist ” in the exam attended by ophthalmologists trained in Europe in Paris .
- He has many foreign and domestic scientific publications and received the title of Associate Professor in the field of Ophthalmology in 2016.

- He works as an ophthalmologist in his office in Karşıyaka, Izmir.
